I run a third contest, this time related to the seasons!

Theme: Seasons and writing.

The Rules: In any form, let your imagination you win, take your pen and ink drawing of the seasons. No more than two entries per person.

Criteria for selecting winners : Will be looked inventiveness and aesthetics.

The Terms: You have until 31/12/2009 midnight. The results will be announced in January. For your works are taken into account send me a mail (rinkanolore@free.fr) or leave me a comment with your name, how to reach you, and a valid link to your work.

Awards:
- 1: A computer drawing of any character you want + image processing + a chibi.
- 2 and 3: An image processing and a chibi each.
- 4, 5 and 6: An image processing or chibi each.

"Présentation:

Ideo : les Domaines Oubliés est un jeu de rôle massivement multijoueur gratuit se jouant exclusivement sur internet, via une interface Web qui comprend à la fois des forums et un plateau de jeu.

Vous y incarnez un personnage évoluant dans un univers médiéval-fantastique dont la trame générale se veut classique et facile d'accès (des humains, elfes et orcs se partageant cinq à six royaumes ayant chacun quelques traits de caractères spécifiques) mais rempli jusqu'à la gueule d'intrigues, de mystères et de cabales pour qui aura la témérité de s'y plonger en profondeur.

Système de jeu:

Une fois passé un petit quizz destiné à s'assurer que le nouvel inscrit a pu prendre connaissance d'une synthèse historique du jeu, vous pourrez commencer à créer votre personnage.

Six caractéristiques et une petite cinquantaine de compétences différentes vous permettront de commencer lentement mais sûrement à distinguer votre personnage de ses comparses.

Pas de point 'n' click rébarbatif ou de course décérébrée à l'expérience (qui a dit WoW?) sur les Domaines Oubliés. Ideo se veut avant tout un jeu de rôle. Et qui dit jeu de rôle dit interprétation d'un rôle, d'un personnage, ce que certains éditeurs de jeux semblent avoir oublié depuis longtemps.

L'action se déroule en tour par tour de 26 heures chacun. Pas la peine de passer sa journée derrière son écran à cliquer sur sa souris puisqu'en quelques minutes, votre personnage pourra effectuer sur le plateau de jeu ses délacements pour la journée, effectuer des achats, voler, agresser, lancer des sorts, draguer, escalader, se saouler, fouiller... bref consacrer sa journée à une petite vingtaine d'actions distinctes.

Ideo : les Domaines Oubliés mettant l'accent sur l'interprétation de son personnage, il ne s'y trouve pas à proprement parlé de « classes » de personnages. Si par la force des choses, on peut distinguer quatre « styles » de combat différents (mages, prêtres, combattants au corps à corps et combattants à distance), votre personnage a surtout la possibilité d'incarner à peu près n'importe quel métier. Paladin, sorcier, contrebandier, troubadour, agitateur public, archéologue, joueur de cartes, maquereau, clochard, brigand, apothicaire, astrologue... seule votre imagination déterminera ce que vous pourrez incarner.

Car si le plateau de jeu détermine des actions objectives, les forums vous permettent également de faire vivre votre personnage, de le faire interagir avec la communauté idéane. Les textes que vous écrirez via les forums, et discrètement chapeautés par l'équipe des maîtres du jeu, vous permettra donc en théorie de réaliser des actions que n'offrent pas le plateau de jeu.

Ainsi, un apothicaire, à force de recherche, pourra concocter un poison ou un philtre d'amour. Un sorcier pourra découvrir de nouveaux sortilèges, un politicien véreux pourra soulever la population locale contre les autorités, une canaille des cités pourra piper ses dés ou truquer son jeu de cartes etc etc.


En conclusion, tant que vos écrits sont cohérents avec l'univers et les capacités de votre personnage, vous pouvez faire ce qui vous passe par la tête et réercuter vos écrits sur le plateau de jeu. Mais prenez garde, les autres le peuvent aussi! L'avenir appartient à ceux qui se montreront les plus malins...

Ideo : les Domaines oubliés est donc un jeu invitant ceux qui aiment lire et écrire à vivre des aventures fantastiques. Cinq ans après son lancement, fort d'une solide communauté de joueurs et gérer entièrement par une équipe de bénévoles, Ideo a réussi à donner à son univers une densité surprenante.
